two mats with fine bent spikes for holding the mohair (or other hair) for wefting. Place the hair between the mats, pins all facing to the user, cut ends of hair also facing the user. The mohair is always led by th blunt end. It is best to also place a weight on top of the mats when working with it. Pull out a few hairs at the time and the mats prevents messing up the mohair.
