Embroidery machine BROTHER INNOV-IS V3 with Kit 1 update, from 2016 (guarantee is expired). Works perfectly. The casing has slight use scratches but nothing really deep. One thing: I cut off a guide behind the needle shaft that held the thread from the back. That small metal piece was very sharp and it took a while to work out what was causing the thread breakages. The metal piece was sharp and the thread would occasionally rub against the sharp edge and be torn. All attempts to make it sit so it did not cut the thread were in vain, so I cut it off. Since then there have been no problems! Actuially, I do not bother putting the thread into the yarn guide at the needle shaft at all and that works perfectly, even on very fine threads and silk. Thjis piece can be replaced at a Brother shop and if desired, I can give the address. The embroideries on the small socks for "Mireille" (GCP project) were all done on this machine, as were the delicate fichus. I am only selling her because I acquired a multi-needle machine instead.

Border Embroidery Frame (new - never used - price € 239) - Tis hoop is superb if you want to embroider borders along garments, for table cloths, embroidered ribbons etc, since it is long and narrow, thus enabling the user to load the fabric into the hoop so it is taut. The embroidery should always be placed into the smallest possible hoop so the fabric is nice and taut.
The LED Pointer for perfect stitching placement - this one is also new and has not yet been used ( € 179) - This embroidery foot with LED pointer light is invaluable. It points a light dot onto the fabric so you know exactly where to place the continuation of your embroidery. This can be really tedious if you do it the "analogue" method!

There are countless lovely and inexpensive embroidery designs available -some even for free! However, if you want to change these designs you need an embroidery software. I tested a number of them. You can often download a limited free version (usually they do not let you do a lot) or with some companies you can buy the program and have 30 days or more to return it for a refund. that works very well and is easy. My favorite ended up being Embrilliance software. All others were also good, some easier, some more difficult. However, Embrilliance had the capabilities I was looking for and it was quite easy to use. I found the service relaxed and hassle-free to deal with - not all of them are like that. You can buy the program in modules, that is, you can start with the basics (Embrilliance Essentials) and move up from there until you get the top software (Embrilliance StitchArtist 3) for those, who want to design their own designs from scratch (not that easy to do - a lot to learn). There are numerous videos taking you through everything, albeit in English. All modules come together in one program -they are integrated. With all the advertising going on in the the web, let me assure you: they do not even know I recommend them. This is purely my own personal opinion. I bought my program from EmbroideryDesigns.com. They also carry a huge selection of embroidery designs from noted artists. You just download the designs and/or the program. Very easy.
